The fight to raise the Federal Minimum wage to $15/hour received a considerable amount of coverage. While the bill to do so failed in the Senate, it prompted a lot of discussion and enthusiasm among low-wage workers in the food service industry where the tipped wage has stayed at $2.13 for years.
The good news is that to earn $15/hour won't need a presidential decree - Service Providers at eHark are already earning $15 an hour - and they are paid to do so while working in a community of friendly and caring entrepreneurs who deliver non-medical services to seniors.
For those who have been laid off or have been working at the current Federal minimum wage of $7.25, the opportunity to earn more while doing meaningful work is worth considering.
